Company history
From Swiss roots to a leading global supplier

Company history

Over the course of more than five decades, forteq has evolved from a traditional Swiss injection molding company into a global strategic supplier to the automotive industry, offering services along the entire value chain.

The company is now a recognized world leader in the production of high-precision plastic components.

forteq started out as a Swiss manufacturer specializing in gears. As demand shifted in the 1970s from metal to plastic parts, the company responded to the market’s needs. It developed expertise in transmission systems and other automotive applications. This was the start of its mold development and plastic injection activities, which now represents a significant portion of the company’s business.

At forteq, we have a single-minded focus on creating the highest-quality plastic components for demanding clients in the automotive segment around the world. Milestones in our company’s history like the creation of a Global Account management structure and the opening of our own mold design and manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China show that we’re not content to rest on our past successes.

We recognize the importance of new trends, such as the move away from traditional internal combustion engines to electric vehicles. And we continuously respond to our customers’ needs by establishing and expanding facilities near them, including in Europe, North America and Asia.

forteq continues to grow and increase its international reach. See how our five decades of growth and international focus can help you with your high-precision automotive component needs.
