We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong background within the injection molding industry to join our team in Huddersfield, UK.  

Your focus will be to lead quotations and technical reviews for new business/transfer and managing programs from concept through to production.

Location: Huddersfield, UK. Office based.

Hours of work: 37.5 per week Monday to Friday.

Essential Duties:

  • Costings generation and tooling package quotation for quotation.
  • Liaison with customers and suppliers on both technical and project management items - (NPI Process).
  • Part feasibility review and DFM.
  • Responsible for tooling development and process sign-off for new tools.
  • Liaise with the relevant Production, Manufacturing and Design departments.
  • Manage the launch of production of new tools and processes.
  • Part modifications (Engineering Change Control).
  • Ensuring the effective introduction of new processes ensuring all Health & Safety / Environmental issues have been considered.
  • Retains the responsibility of the new process or equipment until the validation of the standard process and trouble-free production for 3 months, subject to sign off and review.
  • ERP system
  • BOM creation and review.
  • Producing regular action plans to communicate current and future job tasks.
  • Will close and conclude projects that have been implemented formalising ‘Lessons learnt’.
  • To support internal process improvement initiatives.

Experience:

  • Extensive manufacturing experience working within the injection molding industry.
  • Proven track record managing technical projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Toolmaking and design knowledge.
  • Experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing
  • An in-depth knowledge of component manufacturing and process.
  • Understanding of plastic injection processing and a hands-on approach.
  • Knowledge of automation and sub-assembly processes.

  • Moldflow Analysis (Autodesk Moldflow software)
  • FE analysis (Siemens NX software)
  • 3D CAD review and model creation (Siemens NX software)
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook software).
